iPads in an Art classroom?
After trying out hundreds of artistic/creative apps, I've listed some of the best ones below.

AnimationDoInk AnimationThe BEST animation App out there with TWO different animation options. The first involves a flip book type experiences with different frames. The second and easier one involves a vector based animation experiences where artist images or clip art can travel along a path created by the user.

Augmented RealityAurasmaAurasma's Augmented Reality enhances your view of the real world by layering it with associated digital information. It uses your iPad's camera to view the immediate environment and displays images and video when it sees a "trigger" object it recognizes. It's similar to a QR code, but without the strange looking black and white Rorschach looking square.

These Apps allow teachers to video themselves doing different parts of the demonstration. Create the short videos and then upload them to your blog. The videos will loop. Kids can refer to them as many times as they need to and limit the amount of answering the same questions over and over and over.

How do you get your kids' projects/images/videos off multiple student iPads? Instead of emailing, try cloud storage...These are the ones I use with at least a few gig each. Artsonia is an art teacher specific online portfolio/shutterfly type website that allows you parents/grandparents the opportunity to put their kids images on merchandise. The teacher gets 20% off the proceeds.
Not an App, but a great company.
If you sign up, you can enter their wishpool. IPEVO.com gives away many items on a monthly basis to teachers all over the world. All you have to do is list your name and explain what you'd do with the item. I received a free document camera doing this.
